Wavelength Conversation Sheet – “Benefit for liquid level”

Problem:
1. It’s difficult to mount a back light behind the target because the machine is spinning.
2. The Glass container can focus the light causing unstable detection.
3. Reflected Light off the product can cause unstable detection.

Solution:
1. Using wavelength conversation
sheet its possible to mount behind the target without running electrical cables.
2. The meniscus of the water appears more clearly.
3. The ambient light reflected of the target is cut from the image.

Step Process to understand the benefit of using wavelength conversation sheet.

This is the image obtained from the camera when a white workpiece is placed on top of the wavelength conversion sheet and the white sheet. [Light from the white sheet and the workpiece is reflected white and
the light conversion sheet reflects orange]

This is the image obtained when a blue light is shone onto the parts. [Light from the white workpiece and the white sheet are reflected blue. The wavelength conversion sheet converts the blue light to an orange/red colour and reflects this colour]

This is the image obtained when a [blue cut filter] is added onto the front of the lens, this cuts out the reflected light in the blue range, and only allows the light from the wavelength conversion sheet to enter the lens. In this way, an image similar to that of a silhouetted image is captured whilst cutting out any reflected light from the workpiece.

2018 Innovators Awards: Platinum-level honorees

Platinum-level award honorees of our 2018 Innovators Awards Program are as follows (categories in parentheses):

  • Keyence Corporation of America: Multi-Spectrum Vision System (Vision systems).

Keyence’s Multi-Spectrum Vision System uses monochrome cameras to capture 8 images with 8 different wavelengths of light, visible and non-visible, in the blink of an eye. So fast, in fact, that the images can even be captured and inspected for moving parts. On every trigger, each pixel captures an intensity value for every flash of color – ultraviolet, blue, green, amber, red, far-red, Infrared, and white, allowing for analysis to be performed based on 2568 levels of color differentiation, as compared to 2563 levels in conventional color cameras, without any loss of spatial resolution, according to the company
